Job Description
Responsibilities
Discovery & Technical Audit: Perform an exhaustive technical health check and discovery of our existing, highly customized Salesforce instance. Identify technical debt, redundant configurations, broken automation, and architectural gaps.
Transformation & Migration Strategy: Design the blueprint and data migration strategy to transition from our legacy configuration to a streamlined, scalable future-state architecture. Define mapping protocols, risk mitigation strategies, and cutover plans.
Experience Cloud Architecture: Own the architecture and scaling of our customer/partner Experience Cloud sites. Specifically, lead the implementation and optimization of digital customer service experiences, specializing in Enhanced Chat (Messaging for In-App and Web) and Omni-Channel routing.
Salesforce-to-SAP Integration: Act as the core technical bridge between the CRM front-end and our SAP ERP backend. Optimize end-to-end data pipelines (e.g., pricing books, inventory visibility, order placement, customer master data alignment) utilizing middleware platforms or custom APIs.
Governance & Hands-on Configuration: Lead data clean-up, sandbox strategy, and deployment pipelines. Balance high-level architecture with hands-on declarative and programmatic configuration where necessary to ensure deployment velocity.
Required Technical Experience
Salesforce Transformation & Migration: Minimum of 6+ years of Salesforce architecture experience, with a proven track record of acting as a lead technical resource on at least two large-scale platform migration or consolidation projects.
Experience Cloud & Digital Engagement: Deep expertise building public-facing Experience Cloud portals. Documented experience setting up modern Salesforce Enhanced Chat (formerly Live Chat / Embedded Messaging), Einstein Bots, and custom portal styling.
Enterprise Integration (CRM to SAP): Strong, practical understanding of SAP data structures and how they interact with Salesforce standard objects (Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities, Orders). Experience handling transactional sync constraints and middleware architectures (MuleSoft, Boomi, or SAP PO/CPI).
Legacy Code & Configuration Refactoring: Proven ability to unpack complex flows, Apex triggers, legacy Workflow Rules/Process Builders, and translate them into scalable, modern solutions (Mflow/Lightning Web Components).
Data Migration Tooling: Advanced mastery of ETL tools (e.g., Data Loader, OwnBackup, Informatica) to handle multi-million record migrations without losing data integrity or structural relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
Salesforce Certified Application Architect or System Architect.
Salesforce Certified Experience Cloud Consultant.
Prior experience acting as a consultant or internal transformation lead for a manufacturing, supply chain, or large enterprise tech organization utilizing an SAP backbone.
