About the roleWe are seeking a Community Engagement Coordinator (Public Affairs Coordinator) to join Transurban's NSW Public Affairs team on a 6-month contract, with strong potential for extension or conversion to a permanent opportunity. Based in Sydney CBD, you'll join an amazing, collaborative team and play a key role in supporting community engagement activities. This is a highly community-focused role, involving the management and response of community enquiries, supporting stakeholder engagement activities, coordinating meetings and diaries, managing inboxes, and assisting with community events and outreach programs. The role offers flexibility, including the option to work a 4-day week.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage and respond to community and stakeholder enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Monitor and manage shared inboxes, ensuring enquiries are tracked and resolved.
Coordinate meetings, diaries and administrative support for the team.
Support community engagement and stakeholder communication activities across NSW assets.
Assist with community events, partnerships and outreach initiatives.
Maintain stakeholder databases, engagement records and reporting systems.
About YouExperience in community engagement, communications, stakeholder relations, customer service or a similar coordination role.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
Highly organised, with excellent administration, diary and inbox management skills.
Comfortable engaging with a wide range of community and stakeholder groups.
