Job Description

Job Title: Electrical Technician

📍 Location: Palo Alto, CA (Onsite)
📅 Duration: 6–12 Months Contract

Job Type: C2C & W2 Contract

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to support the testing and validation of automotive electronic control units (ECUs). This role involves bench-level testing, troubleshooting, and validating infotainment and telematics systems to ensure quality, performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform bench-level testing and validation of automotive electronic control units (ECUs).
  • Set up test benches, laboratory equipment, and validation environments.
  • Execute functional testing for infotainment, connectivity, telematics, and user interface features.
  • Develop, execute, and document test cases while analyzing results and reporting defects.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues using diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
  • Support ECU flashing, configuration, and integration activities.
  • Collaborate with hardware, software, and quality teams to investigate and resolve technical issues.
  • Maintain accurate test documentation and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Perform regression testing for software updates and new product releases.

Required Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with electronics bench testing or automotive ECU testing.
  • Good understanding of infotainment and telematics systems.
  • Knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.
  • Experience using electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Experience executing test cases, validating results, and logging defects.
  • Basic knowledge of ECU flashing and diagnostic tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) testing.
  • Familiarity with CANoe, CANalyzer, or CAPL.
  • Experience with PCBA validation, board-level debugging, or ECU hardware validation.
  • Exposure to infotainment UI/UX, connectivity, and audio/video testing.
  • Basic Python or test automation experience.
  • Knowledge of automotive quality standards and validation processes.
