Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to support the testing and validation of automotive electronic control units (ECUs). This role involves bench-level testing, troubleshooting, and validating infotainment and telematics systems to ensure quality, performance, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform bench-level testing and validation of automotive electronic control units (ECUs).
- Set up test benches, laboratory equipment, and validation environments.
- Execute functional testing for infotainment, connectivity, telematics, and user interface features.
- Develop, execute, and document test cases while analyzing results and reporting defects.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues using diagnostic equipment such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
- Support ECU flashing, configuration, and integration activities.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and quality teams to investigate and resolve technical issues.
- Maintain accurate test documentation and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Perform regression testing for software updates and new product releases.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with electronics bench testing or automotive ECU testing.
- Good understanding of infotainment and telematics systems.
- Knowledge of automotive communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.
- Experience using electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other diagnostic tools.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Experience executing test cases, validating results, and logging defects.
- Basic knowledge of ECU flashing and diagnostic tools.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) testing.
- Familiarity with CANoe, CANalyzer, or CAPL.
- Experience with PCBA validation, board-level debugging, or ECU hardware validation.
- Exposure to infotainment UI/UX, connectivity, and audio/video testing.
- Basic Python or test automation experience.
- Knowledge of automotive quality standards and validation processes.
