Position Summary

4Consulting, Inc is seeking a qualified Software Developers to support technology consulting, application development, systems analysis, testing, data management, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or project delivery services for client projects. The selected candidate will perform duties consistent with the client’s project requirements and company delivery standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for:

1. Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using JavaScript, Node.js, and related frameworks.
2. Implement business logic, data validation, error handling, database interactions, and integrations with internal or external systems.
3. Develop and optimize database schemas and queries while supporting application performance, reliability, and data integrity.
4. Perform unit and integration testing, participate in code reviews and CI/CD activities, and collaborate with development, QA, and business teams.
    

Minimum Qualifications

The position requires:

Education	Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience	3–5 years of experience with JavaScript and backend development, including Node.js, REST APIs, databases, application integrations, and software testing.
Technical Skills	JavaScript, Node.js, Express.js, REST APIs, PostgreSQL/Relational Databases, JSON, CI/CD
Business / Domain Skills	Backend Development, API Development, Business Logic Implementation, System Integration, Application Testing, Agile Software Development
Communication	Ability to communicate with technical and business stakeholders.
Documentation	Ability to prepare project documentation, status updates, and deliverables.
Work Authorization	Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Sponsorship may be considered where permitted by company policy and project requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Experience developing scalable APIs and backend services in cloud-native or enterprise environments.
2. Familiarity with database migration tools, application monitoring, logging, security, and performance optimization.
