Aspire Defence Services Limited (ADSL) is seeking a passionate and results-driven Apprentice CIS Support Engineer to be part of our exciting journey. This role forms part of an apprenticeship programme, combining work-based learning with formal training, where you will develop your skills in maintaining, installing, and configuring communication cable infrastructure across a variety of environments.

Your Role:

  • You will be completing daily allocated tasks via an electronic work system, working independently or within a team under supervision.
  • You will be working across a variety of environments including outdoor sites, customer premises, telephone exchanges, underground networks and roadside locations.
  • You will be learning to carry out fault diagnosis and rectification on communication cable infrastructure and related systems.
  • You will be learning to complete moves, changes, and additions to communication cable infrastructure.
  • You will be learning to carry out surveys, testing, and maintenance of communication cable infrastructure, including outside plant.
  • You will be ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, particularly those relating to health and safety.

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualifications:

You will have GCSEs at Grade 4 / C or equivalent including English and Maths, along with a full UK driving licence.

  • Experience: You will have basic IT skills, including the use of systems, applications, or digital tools.
  • Skills: You will be reliable, punctual, and professional, with strong teamwork and communication skills. You will be customer focused with a positive attitude, willing to learn and develop technical skills, and able to use your initiative to problem solve. You will be organised, self-disciplined, able to follow processes effectively, maintain professionalism and confidentiality, and identify and act on your own development needs to maintain competence. Experience &amp; Knowledge:
  • Basic IT skills, including the use of systems, applications, or digital tools. Skills:
