Business Applications Platform Specialist

NRW Pty Ltd Perth Metropolitan

We are seeking a technically capable and business-focused Business Applications Platform Specialist to join our Information Technology team, based at our Head Office in Perth CBD. Reporting to the EISA Manager, this role will be responsible for configuring, developing and supporting the business platforms that underpin the Group's operations.

To be considered for this position, you must possess the following as a minimum:

  • Experience in finance administration, accounts payable or as similar role
  • Strong hands-on experience configuring and supporting Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations across one or more functional modules
  • Practical X development experience, including extensions, customisations and the D365 developer toolchain
  • Demonstrated Power Platform delivery experience, including model-driven and canvas apps, Dataverse and Power Automate
  • Experience building or configuring Copilot Studio agents, or a strong aptitude and willingness to develop skills in agent development
  • Sound understanding of core business processes such as finance, procurement, projects or supply chain
  • Experience supporting business applications in production, including incident investigation and root-cause analysis
  • Strong documentation skills covering functional design, configuration and test evidence
  • Confident communication skills with the ability to work effectively with business stakeholders at all levels
  • Tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Information Technology, Commerce or equivalent professional experience
  • Microsoft certifications in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations or Power Platform will be highly regarded

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Configuring and extending Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations to meet business requirements across assigned functional modules
  • Developing X extensions and customisations in line with standards and patterns established by the Principal Solution Architect
  • Investigating and resolving production issues, including data and configuration problems, through to root cause
  • Supporting period-end, release and regression testing cycles across the D365 environment
  • Supporting the lifecycle management of X extensions through build and release automation pipelines in Azure DevOps
  • Designing and building model-driven and canvas applications, Dataverse solutions and Power Automate flows
  • Extending and integrating Power Platform solutions with D365 and the wider application environment
  • Applying platform governance and architectural guardrails to solutions developed across the Group
  • Building, configuring and maintaining Copilot Studio agents against real business use cases
  • Working with the Data & AI function to ensure agents utilise governed and appropriately classified data
  • Monitoring agent performance and continuously improving solutions based on business feedback
  • Working directly with business teams to gather requirements and translate them into practical platform solutions
  • Running workshops, demonstrations and user training for solutions delivered
  • Advising business stakeholders on what the platform can deliver natively before customisation is considered
  • Producing functional and technical documentation, configuration records and test evidence
  • Providing application support across the platforms within your remit, including participation in planned releases
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across NRW's business applications and technology environment
