Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer

Location: Milpitas, CA

Key Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual and detailed mechanical designs using 3D CAD tools, preferably Creo/ProE.
• Create and manage large assemblies and system layouts using reference geometry.
• Design and develop mechanical components and vacuum systems.
• Apply knowledge of engineering materials, material selection, and vacuum-compatible fabrication techniques.
• Work with manufacturing processes including machining, welding, sheet metal forming, and fabrication.
• Coordinate effectively with onsite and offshore engineering teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams to deliver engineering projects.
• Adapt to changing project priorities and communicate technical information clearly.
• Support reverse engineering activities when required.

Required Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience with Creo/ProE and 3D solid modeling.
• Strong mechanical design and assembly modeling experience.
• Understanding of vacuum system design and fabrication.
• Knowledge of machining, welding, sheet metal operations, and manufacturing processes.
• Good understanding of engineering materials and design for manufacturability.
• Experience coordinating with onsite and offshore teams.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD.

Tools and Technologies

• CAD: Creo/ProE, AutoCAD
• PLM/PDM: ENOVIA, Windchill
• Productivity tools: Microsoft Office, Visio, Publisher

Preferred Qualifications

• Semiconductor equipment or related engineering domain experience.
• Familiarity with SEMI S2 and S8 standards.
• Experience in reverse engineering.
• Experience working in a global, multidisciplinary engineering environment.
