Job Description
Purpose
The Portfolio Product Manager is responsible for managing new and existing product ranges from the initial concept through to launch in line with time frames and budgets of portfolio ranges.
Principal Accountabilities
Execute and deliver a first class introduction of core and portfolio items from concept to launch in line with the company strategy for the EMEA region
Monitor and analyse sales performance, market trends and competitor activity and utilise such insight to develop new and existing product ranges in conjunction with the strategy of the business
Formulate and execute unique and competitive NPD product plans ensuring consistent brand and message across all ranges.
Contribute to achieving a comprehensive suite of product support material including brochures, POS and competitive packaging along with the Marketing team.
Conduct post launch campaigns to improve and strengthen new and existing product ranges.
Chair and manage the weekly NPI core and portfolio meetings to ensure timely development of all projects and work cross functional with design, modelling, manufacturing, finance and supply.
Deliver correctly positioned product development briefs in line with the 3 year roadmap.
Become an expert with respect to the competition.
Perform product demos and training to customers and sales teams where required
Deliver a monthly product summary for inclusion in the board report.
Undertake regular financial analysis to understand margin and the impact of the mix over categories responsible.
Deal with portfolio QC issues internally and with the supplier/customer if required and supplier assessments documents with suppliers responsible.
Responsibility for delivering and carrying forward a Rationalisation plan for the business with the categories responsible.
Manage samples for the category responsible/new and ongoing launches.
Negotiation price increase/decrease with suppliers as well as payment terms where required.
Ensure that the price model is suitable for the market we are selling in.
Manage any custom (not Core) designs with the customer/sales person/admin/supplier.
Manage day to day contact with supplier where necessary.
Contribute and analyse the cash impacts of introductions of new products.

Monday to Friday: 8:45am - 4:45pm
Pay
Up to £40,000 per annum
