Senior Business Analyst, VET Data Streamlining Program- Salary: $116,413 - $140,849 (Plus Superannuation)
- Fixed term role: 12 months
- Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available)
- Usual work location: Ballarat GovHub / 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne (flexibility may be available)
The Senior Business Analyst leads business analysis activities across the VET Data Streamlining (VDS) Program to support implementation of national VET data reforms in Victoria. The role works closely with business and program stakeholders to understand current-state processes, identify business impacts, define future-state requirements and develop practical solutions that support improved data quality, streamlined reporting and operational efficiency.
Main accountabilities- Innovative thinking and analysis influences developments within area of responsibility
- Prepares technical reports at an advanced professional level
- Develops project briefs consistent with business plan direction
- Contributes to strategic business planning - interprets and applies business plans and policies in own area of responsibility and provides advice to others on implementation issues
The position of Senior Business Analyst, VET Data Streamlining Program forms part of the Training Operations and Assurance branch within the Skills and TAFE group.
Skills and TAFE (ST) focuses on enabling Victorians to access the knowledge, skills and attributes they need to participate in today's workforce, prepare for future jobs, and achieve their educational aspirations. The Training Operations and Assurance (TOA) branch maintain and promote a quality training system through administration of VET Funding Contracts and grants.

- Systems Thinking: Diagnoses trends, obstacles and opportunities in the internal and external environment that connect to own work and team's work; Coaches others in using systems thinking to solve problems and create solutions.
- Data Literacy: Considers data volume, variety, velocity, and veracity to establish data collection and analysis approach.
