Marksman Security Now Hiring for Experienced Security Officers
Ideal candidates will have previous security officer, security guard (armed or unarmed) experience, military and/or law enforcement experience.
Duties and job functions include lobby desk, patrol, control center, access control, emergency response and risk management The ideal candidates’ traits: exceptional people skills, professional image, attention to detail, takes ownership, committed to team success, outgoing, and driven.

Responsibilities:
- Deter criminal activity and misconduct
- Respond to alarms, calls of distress, or emergencies such as fire, injuries or presence of unauthorized persons by calling police, fire departments and/or local emergency response teams.
- Makes periodic patrols to check for unsafe conditions, hazards, unlocked doors, security violations, blocked entrances and exits, mechanical problems, and unauthorized persons
- Prepare clear, concise, accurate reports.
- Operate access control systems, utilize a computer for incident reports, navigate security software systems or applications and use email.
- Demonstrate strong customer service skills, professional demeanor, and appearance.
- Demonstrate experience managing multiple tasks, executing radio and telephone communications and performing in a high-pressure environment
- Other duties to be determined by security supervisor
- Must be able to stand an walk for long periods of time
Qualifications:
- Prior law enforcement experience, military and/or corrections experience
- Applicants must meet one or any reasonable combination of the following requirements:
- Two years of customer service experience
- Two years of security experience
- Law Enforcement Experience
- Corrections Experience
- Military Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice or something similar
Requirements:
- Valid state licensing, if applicable
- 21 years of age and High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
- Technology skills: operate access control system, utilize a computer for incident reports, operate security software systems or applications, use email.
- Strong customer service skills, professional demeanor and appearance.
- Experience managing multiple tasks, executing radio and telephone communications while performing in a medium to high pressure environment with frequently changing and/or competing demands.
- Familiarity with report writing
- Excellent surveillance and observation skills
- Possess above average written and verbal communication skills.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to interact effectively with client staff and the public.
- Trained in CPR and First Aid preferred
