Mechanical Design and FEA Analyst - Unison

Akkodis is a recruiting for an Aerospace Mechanical Design and Analyst for a client in the Norwich, NY area. This is an onsite contract position with a pay range of $65 an hour to $80 an hour depending on education, experience and location. Candidate would be responsible leading the structural analysis and mechanical design support of temperature sensors, torque sensors, and selected rotating structures for aerospace applications.

• Develop and validate FEA models in Ansys to predict the performance of components and assemblies under various operating conditions, including static, thermal, and dynamic loading.
• Perform stress and strain-based calculations and determine margins of safety against yield, ultimate, fatigue, and other relevant failure modes.
• Own the design of parts and design a test to validate the parts.
• Experience ANSYS, running Structure Analysis, stress testing
• NX, SolidWorks, CATIA
• GD&T, Stack up tolerance experience
• Able to obtain a US Govt Security Clearance.

Bachelors Degree in aerospace, mechanical engineering with at least 5 years industry experience.

Pay Details: $65.00 to $80.00 per hour
