Job Description

Database Administrator | Sacramento, CA

Our client, a global leader in the consumer goods industry, is seeking a Database Administrator to join their team. You will be part of the IT Infrastructure Department supporting cross-functional technology and business teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving abilities, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Database Administrator
Location: Sacramento, CA
Pay Range: $104.07 - $106.94/hr

What’s the Job?

  • Install, configure, maintain, and monitor database systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Manage database security, backups, recovery processes, and data integrity.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, performance bottlenecks, and system outages.
  • Optimize database queries and support large datasets and complex data operations.
  • Collaborate with IT teams and business stakeholders to support infrastructure and application needs.

What’s Needed?

  • Strong understanding of database concepts, relational databases, SQL, and database management systems.
  • Experience with database administration tools, utilities, and best practices.
  • Proven ability to work with large datasets and complex queries.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
What's a plus? 
  • Programming experience with Python, R, or other scripting languages.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms and database services.
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale database environments.
  • Familiarity with data security and compliance requirements.
  • Industry experience in consumer goods, manufacturing, or related sectors.
