 Role Overview
This is a senior-level legal and financial compliance position focused on leading tax engagements, managing complex client relationships, and providing top-tier strategic advisory solutions. Working closely with senior leadership, you will oversee business and entity tax compliance while driving the development of tailored tax planning strategies, specifically for construction industry clients.
 Key Responsibilities
  • Tax Engagement Leadership: Lead business and entity tax compliance engagements, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of services to meet distinct client needs.
  • Client Service & Advisory: Manage high-value client relationships, providing exceptional client service and developing strategic tax planning recommendations based on current tax laws.
  • Complex Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve complex tax issues through comprehensive research, process improvements, and technical resource utilization.
  • Team Coaching & Mentorship: Review complex tax work prepared by internal staff and provide direct technical guidance, constructive coaching, and career mentorship.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Collaborate directly with senior leadership on complex engagements, resource planning, and key business development initiatives.
 Required Qualifications
  • Education & Licensing: Bachelor''s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification with an active license is strictly required.
  • Core Public Accounting Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive public accounting tax experience.
  • Industry Focus: Significant, demonstrated expertise working directly with construction industry clients.
  • Engagement Management: Proven experience independently managing multi-layered tax engagements and critical client relationships.
  • Leadership & Analytics: Strong analytical skills paired with a proven ability to lead professional teams, manage multiple priorities, and meet strict regulatory deadlines.
 Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in a direct managerial or leadership role within a public accounting setting.
  • Experience providing comprehensive, advanced corporate tax planning and technical consulting services.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in project management and cross-functional team leadership.
