Registered Nurse ED

• Location: Port St. Joe, FL
• Facility: Ascension Sacred Heart Gulf
• Department: Emergency Department
• Schedule: Night shift l  PRN

• Lead and execute individualized patient care plans by continuously monitoring patient conditions and adjusting clinical interventions to ensure optimal recovery and high-quality outcomes.
• Serve as the primary care coordinator by uniting multidisciplinary teams—including physicians, therapists, and specialists—to deliver seamlessly integrated, holistic patient care.
• Advocate for patient safety and clinical accuracy by precisely interpreting, noting, and carrying out physician and nursing orders in accordance with the highest healthcare standards.
• Champion smooth, safe patient transitions by assessing and coordinating discharge planning needs with the healthcare team, ensuring patients and families are fully prepared for care at home.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida required. Credentialed from State Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire required.

Additional Preferences

• At least 3 years of experience in ED, ICU, or flight nursing.
• RNs with Paramedic experience.
