Position Overview
The International Tax Policy and Planning Analyst is a newly created role on International Tax Strategy and Special Projects Team. This position is equivalent to a Senior-level role within the Big 4 accounting firms.
Reporting to the Director – International Tax Strategy, you will support the team by coordinating Tax-Treasury initiatives, assisting with the design and execution of tax planning projects, and supporting the Global Tax Policy function.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in analyzing U.S. and international tax laws, as applicable, to identify tax opportunities and risks related to intercompany lending.
- Ensure intercompany lending and borrowing arrangements are coordinated with the Transfer Pricing team for pricing, note valuation, risk assessment, and profit plan forecasting.
- Coordinate approvals from global local tax teams for refinancing activities and repayments of intercompany loans.
- Maintain and update electronic project files, including project management plans and internal Tax-Treasury resource databases.
- Assist with special tax planning and strategy projects, including legal entity rationalization initiatives.
- Analyze and research U.S. and international tax laws to identify opportunities and risks associated with tax projects and global tax policy proposals.
- Prepare tax memoranda, spreadsheets, and presentations for management discussions regarding strategic tax projects and tax policy initiatives.
- Coordinate tax projects with internal tax teams and cross-functional stakeholders located both within and outside the United States.
- Assist in communicating newly proposed and enacted global tax legislation to senior management.
- Support the company''s compliance with new tax laws resulting from OECD, UN, EU, and other global tax policy initiatives.
- Coordinate and communicate with external tax advisors.
- Organize and maintain electronic project documentation and internal tax resource databases.
- Maintain detailed task tracking to ensure all projects are completed on time and meet the highest quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor''s degree from an accredited institution is required.
- Minimum of 2 years of U.S. federal/international tax or accounting experience is required, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 1 year of U.S. federal/international tax or accounting experience.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future corporate sponsorship.
- Ability to travel up to 10%, as required.
