About the role
Davidson Kempner is seeking an Early Careers & Recruiting Associate to help build and scale our approach to junior talent across the firm.
This role sits at the intersection of early careers strategy, recruiting, and business partnership. You will play a key role in developing a more structured and deliberate pipeline of high-quality junior talent into both investment and corporate functions.
Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business, you will contribute to internship and analyst hiring, support the growth of existing programs, and help expand junior talent pipelines into areas that do not currently operate formal schemes.
This is a highly visible role offering broad exposure across the firm and the opportunity to shape how we identify, assess, and develop early careers talent over time.
What you’ll do
Support and help develop the firm’s early careers strategy, including internship and Rotational Analyst Programs (RAP)
Drive campus recruiting activity, building relationships with target universities and student organizations
Partner with business leaders and HR Business Partners to understand junior hiring needs and support workforce planning
Coordinate and deliver internship programs, including onboarding, feedback, and conversion tracking
Contribute to the design of structured assessment processes for early careers candidates
Help build new junior talent pipelines in areas of the business without existing programs
Support direct sourcing activity and broader recruiting efforts across the firm
Ensure a high-quality candidate and hiring manager experience throughout the recruitment process
Who we’re looking for
We are looking for a highly organized and relationship-driven individual with strong attention to detail and an interest in early careers recruiting and talent development.
Candidates may come from:
Campus recruiting, talent acquisition, or HR-related roles, or
An investment or financial services environment (e.g. sales / marketing, investment / trading support, or other business or operational roles), with a strong interest in transitioning into recruiting and talent – internal applicants from within the firm are very welcome to apply.
You will bring:
2–5 years of relevant experience
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Excellent organizational and project management capability
The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
A proactive, detail-oriented approach with a strong sense of ownership
Bachelor's degree required. Candidates should demonstrate strong academic achievement and an interest in financial markets, talent, recruiting, or organizational development.
Our approach to early careers

Why join
Exposure to a global investment firm and senior stakeholders across the business
