Tendering Professional (High Voltage Switchgear) About the Role

How You'll Make an Impact
  • 60% Technical Tender Management
    • Analyze customer technical specifications, drawings, and Request for Quotations (RFQs) to determine project requirements for switchgear solutions.
    • Develop and prepare comprehensive, compliant, and competitive technical and commercial tenders.
    • Perform detailed cost calculations, define pricing strategies, and identify potential risks for tender submissions.
    • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including engineering, project management, and legal teams, to ensure alignment and completeness of proposals.
  • 40% Sales Process and Customer Support
    • Act as the key technical interface for customers during the bidding phase, providing clarifications and conducting product presentations.
    • Support the field sales team in identifying and qualifying opportunities, and developing strategies to win new business.
    • Maintain and update the sales pipeline and tender status in the CRM system (e.g., Salesforce).
    • Conduct post-tender analysis and facilitate the handover process to the project execution team upon contract award.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Proven experience as an experienced professional in a tendering, proposals, or technical sales role.
  • Demonstrated experience within the Australian energy, utility, or heavy industrial sectors.
  • Specific product knowledge of medium-voltage (MV) or high-voltage (HV) switchgear is highly advantageous.
