Job Description

Data Analyst

Introduction

As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for understanding business objectives and problems, identifying alternative solutions, and performing studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives. You will analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or improve existing computer systems. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to translate business needs into actionable insights.

Responsibilities

  • Confer with personnel of organizational units to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements
  • Write detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs
  • Review computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program changes are possible
  • Lead Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions, elicit requirements, and document business processes and analytical findings
  • Design dashboards, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and performance measures to support data-driven decision-making
  • Perform data quality analysis and ensure data integrity
  • Create and execute complex SQL queries and joins
