Job Description
Working for this business whose Chester Head Office is based in the city centre in a stunning location, the Customer Service and Sales Advisor will communicate regularly with customers, primarily by telephone but also via digital media, handling queries, taking and processing orders whilst upselling and cross selling. Building strong working relationships with customers through a culture of outstanding customer service is at the heart of the role.
Working Monday to Friday 35 hours a week on a rota between 745am-5pm, the Customer Service and Sales Advisor role has benefits including free city centre parking; private medical insurance; 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays; an Employee Assistance Programme; employee recognition awards; and access to a platform with retail discounts and offers.
Responsibilities:-
Deal with inbound calls and online messages from customers who want to place orders.
Call and maintain a diary of customers to contact each week to obtain their orders, upselling and cross-selling products and advising of promotions/offers.
Sell key brands to ensure each of the customers has the best product range available for their business.
To drive customer engagement with the online ordering platform and support customers in using it efficiently.
Process orders onto an inhouse system, ensuring accuracy to minimise errors and discrepancies.
Efficiently handle incoming calls and digital communications from our customers, internal colleagues including members of the field team, the distribution company and other suppliers.
Provide a friendly, professional and supportive front line contact service for their customers.
Manage important tasks which form part of the supply service, some of which require time critical action e.g. order failures, processing transfer orders, reporting faulty stock, etc.
Skills and Experience:-
Previous phone-based customer service experience with a willingness to go the extra mile for customers, colleagues and the wider team.
Polite and confident telephone manner, treating others as you would wish to be treated.
Always demonstrates professionalism and a positive attitude in all situations.
Ability to multitask and be proactive looking at opportunities to support in advance.
Resourceful having a can do attitude to think around problems to find a solution.
Tenacious to see things through to completion.
Must have experience using Excel.
