Associate - Transaction Advisory & Valuation

A leading financial advisory firm is seeking an Associate to join its Transaction Advisory & Valuation practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of strategic transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, restructurings, spin-offs, and other complex corporate situations. The Associate will support valuation analyses, financial opinions, and board advisory engagements for public and private companies, private equity firms, and corporate clients.

This position is ideal for a motivated finance professional looking to further develop technical and transaction execution skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.



Responsibilities

  • Build and review complex financial models and valuation analyses.
  • Perform discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company, precedent transaction, and other valuation methodologies.
  • Prepare board-level presentations, reports, and client deliverables.
  • Support fairness opinion, solvency opinion, valuation, and strategic advisory engagements.
  • Conduct financial, industry, and company-specific research and analysis.
  • Coordinate diligence efforts and manage information requests throughout engagements.
  • Work closely with clients and transaction stakeholders to support engagement execution.
  • Review analyst work and assist with managing project timelines and deliverables.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in investment banking, valuation advisory, transaction services, corporate finance, or a related field.
  • Strong financial modeling and valuation experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
  • CPA, CFA, or progress toward a professional designation is a plus, but not required.
