Vice President, Infrastructure Engineering

BNY Mellon seeks a Vice President, Infrastructure Engineering to lead design and delivery of secure, scalable infrastructure powering global financial services. You will own strategy for data centers and cloud, driving modernization, automation, and high availability to support trading, custody, and data platforms. Partner closely with security, risk, and business teams to meet regulatory requirements and performance SLAs. Lead and develop a diverse engineering team, promote best practices, and influence technology investment across BNY's critical market infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the global infrastructure engineering strategy supporting BNY's trading, custody, and data platforms.
• Design, build, and optimize highly available, secure, and scalable infrastructure across data centers and cloud.
• Set standards for reliability, observability, performance, and disaster recovery for critical financial systems.
• Partner with security, risk, and compliance teams to ensure infrastructure meets regulatory and cyber requirements.
• Drive modernization initiatives, including cloud migration, automation, and infrastructure-as-code.
• Manage and mentor a high-performing engineering team, fostering learning, inclusion, and collaboration.
• Collaborate with product, application, and operations teams to align infrastructure solutions with business goals.
• Oversee vendor relationships, tooling selection, and infrastructure-related technology investments.
• Establish and track KPIs, SLAs, and budgets for infrastructure services.
• Champion continuous improvement, incident postmortems, and engineering best practices.
