Job Description

Plastipak Packaging, Inc., a global leader in rigid plastic packaging and recycling, is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support our manufacturing workforce. In this role, you will administer HR policies, coordinate full-cycle recruitment for plant and corporate roles, and support onboarding and training initiatives. You'll manage employee relations, coach supervisors on performance and corrective actions, and help ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies. The HR Generalist also supports benefits administration, HR data and reporting, and continuous improvement projects that strengthen safety, engagement, and career development in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and interpret HR policies and procedures for manufacturing and corporate employees
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and coordinating offers
  • Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and training logistics for new hires
  • Support employee relations by investigating concerns and coaching supervisors on corrective actions
  • Assist with performance management processes, including reviews and documentation
  • Help administer benefits programs and support employees with benefit-related questions
  • Maintain HRIS records, HR metrics, and reporting to support data-driven decisions
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws and company policies
  • Partner with leaders on safety, engagement, and retention initiatives
  • Support continuous improvement projects in HR processes and employee experience
