The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing data platform team working on enterprise-wide analytics capabilities. You'll play a key role in designing, integrating, and optimising Snowflake solutions, enabling secure and efficient data access across advanced data and analytics platforms.

Working alongside Solution Architects, Data Engineers, Security Teams, and Business Stakeholders, you'll help deliver robust cloud-based data solutions that align with enterprise standards and governance requirements

What You'll Be Doing
  • Design and implement integrations between Snowflake and Azure cloud data platforms
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines and ingestion frameworks using Snowflake and Azure-native services
  • Contribute to detailed data platform architecture and solution design
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise security standards, performance requirements, and data strategies
  • Implement and manage Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and fine-grained access policies within Snowflake
  • Design and enforce data classification-based access controls
  • Collaborate with security and compliance teams to maintain governance and auditability
  • Optimise Snowflake environments for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve platform performance issues
  • Work closely with analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to enable secure data access
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and access control policies
What You'll Bring Essential Experience
  • Minimum 5+ years' experience in Data Engineering or Cloud Data Platform roles
  • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake including scheme design, query optimisation, and security and access control
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure data services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Blob Storage
  • Deep understanding of Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Data classification frameworks, Data security best practices
  • Strong SQL development skills
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and documentation capabilities
Highly Desirable
  • Experience with Python scripting
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and Azure DevOps
  • Previous experience within banking or large enterprise environments
