Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Healthcare Solution Architect to lead the design, architecture, and implementation of enterprise healthcare technology solutions. This role requires deep expertise in Epic integration, Healthcare Interoperability, FHIR, HL7, and modern cloud-native application architecture.

The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on software development experience, exceptional solution architecture skills, and the ability to collaborate with clinical teams, business stakeholders, and engineering organizations to deliver scalable, secure, and compliant healthcare solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and architect scalable, enterprise-grade healthcare technology solutions supporting clinical, operational, and business initiatives.

  • Lead architecture for Epic integrations, healthcare interoperability platforms, and enterprise data exchange solutions.

  • Design secure integration frameworks utilizing FHIR, SMART on FHIR, HL7 v2/v3, REST APIs, and healthcare messaging standards.

  • Develop comprehensive solution blueprints, architecture diagrams, technical roadmaps, and integration strategies.

  • Collaborate with clinicians, product owners, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

  • Provide technical leadership throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering through deployment and production support.

  • Design modern API architectures leveraging RESTful services, API gateways, and event-driven integration patterns.

  • Evaluate existing enterprise systems and recommend architectural improvements for scalability, performance, maintainability, and security.

  • Lead cloud modernization initiatives across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud platforms.

  • Define architectural standards, governance models, coding best practices, and solution design principles.

  • Conduct architecture reviews, technical assessments, proof-of-concepts, and technology evaluations.

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, healthcare security standards, privacy regulations, and enterprise governance policies.

  • Partner with executive leadership to define long-term healthcare technology strategies and digital transformation initiatives.

  • Mentor engineering teams and provide guidance on architecture, integration, and software engineering best practices.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of software development and enterprise solution architecture experience.

  • 5+ years of experience designing healthcare technology solutions for providers, payers, or healthcare IT organizations.

  • Strong hands-on development experience with one or more programming languages:

    • Java

    • C#

    • .NET

    • Python

    • Node.js

  • Extensive experience designing and implementing Epic integration and healthcare interoperability solutions.

  • Deep expertise with:

  • Experience designing enterprise integration architectures across distributed systems.
