Description
We are looking for an experienced Network Administrator to support and enhance the organization's core network infrastructure in New Orleans, Louisiana. This position focuses on maintaining secure, reliable connectivity across enterprise systems while ensuring efficient access to critical services and platforms. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on knowledge of Cisco environments, firewall administration, directory services, and virtualized infrastructure. The role also requires experience in server and system administration experience.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operation, maintenance, and optimization of the company's network environment to ensure stable and secure connectivity.
Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Cisco routers and related networking equipment across LAN infrastructure.
Administer firewall platforms, applying security policies and resolving issues that affect network protection or performance.
Manage Active Directory and Azure Active Directory environments, including access controls, user administration, and directory health.
Support VMware-based systems as they relate to network availability, connectivity, and infrastructure performance.
Investigate network incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with internal technology teams to plan upgrades, improve resiliency, and maintain infrastructure standards.
Document network configurations, support procedures, and system changes to promote operational consistency and compliance.
Requirements
Proven experience administering enterprise network environments in a hands-on technical role.
Strong working knowledge of Cisco networking technologies, including router configuration and troubleshooting.
Practical experience with firewall technologies and network security administration.
Proficiency with Active Directory and Azure Active Directory management.
Familiarity with LAN design, support, and performance optimization.
Experience working with VMware in an infrastructure or systems environment.
Ability to diagnose technical issues efficiently and communicate solutions clearly to stakeholders.
