Job Description

Paychex is seeking an experienced Senior Snowflake Data Engineer to design, develop, and support scalable cloud-based data solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake, Databricks, PySpark, Python, SQL, and Azure technologies. You will be responsible for building robust ETL/ELT pipelines, optimizing data processing, and delivering high-quality data solutions that support business analytics and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Snowflake and Databricks.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using PySpark, Python, and SQL.
• Develop and maintain data models, Snowflake objects, and data warehouse solutions.
• Integrate data from multiple sources using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS).
• Optimize Snowflake performance through query tuning and best practices.
• Collaborate with business users, data architects, and application teams to understand requirements and deliver data solutions.
• Implement data quality, governance, and security standards.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Follow Agile development methodologies and CI/CD best practices.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of Data Engineering experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake.
• Strong experience with Databricks, PySpark, Python, and SQL.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), and Delta Lake.
• Strong understanding of Data Warehousing, ETL/ELT, and dimensional modeling.
• Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
