Role: IT Asset & Inventory Coordinator

Location: 100% On-site in either Portland OR, Orange CT, or Rochester, NY

 

 

Position Overview

Our client is seeking an IT Asset & Inventory Coordinator to support their IT inventory and asset-management activities across End User Computing and Datacenter environments.

This is a hands-on, administrative support role focused primarily on maintaining accurate inventory records, reviewing inventory data, identifying discrepancies, and producing basic asset-management reports.

This is NOT a senior engineering, architecture, or management position. THIS IS CLOSE TO ENTRY LEVEL. Client will provide training.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working with spreadsheets, reports, and structured data, organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with IT asset records, and able to follow established processes consistently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update IT asset and inventory records within the client’s database.
  • Review data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Support inventory record management for End User Computing and Datacenter assets.
  • Assist with deployment and equipment retrieval reporting.
  • Perform basic data analysis and reconciliation of asset records.
  • Support asset-tag inventory maintenance for Datacenter equipment.
  • Help prepare and maintain asset-management instructions, reports, and communications.
  • Work with technical teams to resolve inventory and data-quality issues.

Qualifications

  1. Previous experience supporting IT asset management, inventory management, administration, desktop support, or IT operations.
  2. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  3. Comfortable working with spreadsheets, reports, and structured data.
  4. Ability to follow documented processes
  5. Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Experience with ServiceNow or another ITSM platform is helpful.
