Business Analyst

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst with strong healthcare data systems and quality assurance experience. The ideal candidate will have expertise in healthcare domains such as claims, Prior Authorization, interoperability, and correspondence, along with strong requirements gathering, SQL-based data validation, ETL/ELT testing, and healthcare data analysis capabilities.

Key Responsibilities Gather and analyze business requirements and translate complex healthcare business processes into functional and technical specifications. Manage end-to-end requirements traceability across business, functional, technical, and testing activities. Develop and execute test strategies, test plans, and test cases for data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and downstream reporting systems. Perform data validation and reconciliation using advanced SQL.

Validate large-scale healthcare datasets to ensure accuracy and consistency across claims, Prior Authorization, interoperability, and correspondence workflows. Identify, document, troubleshoot, and support resolution of data and application defects. Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, QA teams, and other cross-functional teams to ensure requirements and testing objectives are met. Write user stories with clear acceptance criteria and support Agile development activities.

Ensure healthcare data handling and validation activities align with applicable standards and regulatory requirements. Prepare documentation, reports, and presentations to communicate requirements, testing results, data quality findings, and project status.

Required Qualifications 610+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, QA Analyst, or combined BSA/QA professional, with a strong focus on healthcare data systems. 46+ years of experience working with healthcare domains, including claims, Prior Authorization, interoperability, and correspondence. 46+ years of experience in requirements gathering, translating complex healthcare business processes into functional and technical specifications, and managing end-to-end traceability. 46+ years of hands-on QA experience, including test strategy, test planning, and execution for data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and downstream reporting systems. 35+ years of advanced SQL experience for data validation and reconciliation. 35+ years of experience validating large-scale healthcare datasets and ensuring accuracy across claims, Prior Authorization, interoperability, and correspondence workflows. 24+ years of experience working with healthcare data standards and regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, PHI handling, and ICD/CPT coding. 23+ years of experience working with Agile methodologies, including writing user stories with clear acceptance criteria.

Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications Exposure to HL7 and FHIR. Exposure to cloud platforms. Experience with Snowflake. Experience with PostgreSQL.
