Senior VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) Engineer

Must Have

• 3+ years of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) experience.
• 5+ years of VMware Aria Operations administration in large-scale, multi-datacenter environments.
• Experience with VMware Aria Suite products and automation tools.
• Hands-on Ansible automation experience.
• Linux (RHEL preferred) administration and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong VMware infrastructure expertise (vCenter, ESXi, clusters, networking).

Nice to Have

• Experience in secure, compliance-driven enterprise environments.
• Platform lifecycle management, monitoring, and performance tuning.
• Scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python, Perl) and REST API integration.
• ServiceNow, Jira, and Archer (or similar GRC tools).
• VCF SDDC Manager, NSX, and vSAN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support for enterprise VMware Aria and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) platforms.
• Perform incident, problem, and change management activities.
• Lead troubleshooting for platform outages, performance issues, and integration failures.
• Execute platform upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management activities.
• Develop and maintain Ansible automation solutions.
• Participate in capacity planning, health assessments, and architecture reviews.
• Create and maintain operational documentation, procedures, and runbooks.
• Partner with infrastructure, security, application, and engineering teams.

Environment

• Function of the Group: SRTE Event Management Crew / Site Reliability Technology Engineering.
• Responsible for managing monitoring and event management platforms at PNC.
• Team of 20+ supporting enterprise monitoring and event management tools.
• Regulated financial services/banking environment.
