Job Description

Job Summary

  • Seeking a highly experienced VMware & Windows Administrator with 10–12+ years of hands-on experience managing enterprise Windows Server and VMware environments.
  • Responsible for virtualization, Windows infrastructure, Active Directory, patching, monitoring, backup, troubleshooting, security, and performance optimization across large-scale environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and support VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, HA, DRS, and VM provisioning.
  • Manage enterprise Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 environments.
  • Perform Windows server installation, configuration, hardening, patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, OU, user/group administration, and domain services.
  • Configure and maintain VMware clusters, resource pools, datastores, virtual switches, and VM networking.
  • Perform VM migrations, cloning, snapshots, capacity management, and virtual machine lifecycle management.
  • Troubleshoot VMware ESXi, vCenter, VM performance, CPU/memory/storage, and network-related issues.
  • Implement and maintain Windows Server security baselines, vulnerability remediation, and system hardening.
  • Manage Microsoft Failover Clustering, Windows services, IIS, and enterprise server components.
  • Support SAN/NAS storage, including Fibre Channel, iSCSI, datastores, and storage provisioning.
  • Manage backup and disaster recovery solutions and participate in DR testing.
  • Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell and scripting.
  • Monitor infrastructure using enterprise monitoring tools and proactively resolve performance issues.
  • Perform OS and VMware upgrades, patch management, firmware updates, and maintenance activities.
  • Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure documentation, SOPs, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with network, security, storage, cloud, database, and application teams.
  • Provide technical leadership during infrastructure migrations, upgrades, and data-center initiatives.
