Azure Platform Engineer

Azure Platform Engineer – 3-month contract – Fully remote My Client is looking for an experienced Azure Platform Engineer is required to support the design and build of a new Azure platform, with a strong focus on Azure VMware Solution (AVS) and hybrid infrastructure.

This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll be responsible for designing, building and deploying Azure infrastructure while working closely with architects to deliver a scalable, enterprise platform. This Azure Platform Engineer role is fully remote. Skills required from the Azure Platform Engineer:

Strong hands-on experience designing and building Azure platforms.<br />Azure architecture and platform design experience.<br />Proven experience deploying Azure VMware Solution (AVS) would be beneficial<br />Strong VMware infrastructure experience, including (ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, NSX)<br />Experience migrating or integrating VMware workloads into Azure.<br />Strong Azure networking, compute, storage and identity (Entra ID).<br />PowerShell and/or Azure CLI.<br />Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep or ARM templates).<br />Experience producing technical documentation and following design standards.<br />Experience implementing Omnissa Horizon in a hybrid Azure environment would be beneficial<br />Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) would be beneficial<br />Key responsibilities of the Azure Platform Engineer:

Design, build and implement enterprise Azure platforms from the ground up.<br />Lead the deployment and configuration of Azure VMware Solution (AVS).<br />Migrate and integrate VMware environments into Azure.<br />Work with architects and technical stakeholders to ensure platform designs align with business and technical requirements.<br />Support the implementation of a hybrid Omnissa Horizon environment within Azure.<br />Produce technical documentation and contribute to platform best practices.<br />Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and platform issues throughout implementation.<br />Apply now to speak with VIQU IT in confidence.
