  • The Opportunity: We are seeking a highly detailed and proactive Hardware and Software Configuration Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all system and connectivity drawings remain accurate, up to date, and compliant with programmatic standards. You will collaborate closely with the Program Management Office (PMO) Configuration/Data Management (C/DM) team, Integrated Product Teams (IPT), Agile Release Teams (ART), Systems Teams, and Platform Management to support ongoing and new infrastructure projects.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical drawing skills in Microsoft Visio, experience in configuration management/auditing, and a background in managing technical documentation within enterprise military or defense environments (specifically DGS-X and AF BLUE).

Responsibilities: • Drawing Maintenance & Creation: Maintain, update, and create functional area drawing documentation and internal connection drawings (depicting complex data flows) as part of the overall DGS-X and AF BLUE drawing packages.

  • SOP Compliance: Ensure all drawing documentation conforms strictly to the PMO's Standard Operating Procedure (SOP-102) for Enduring Systems and Open Architecture (OA).
  • Repository Management: Promptly upload newly created and updated drawings to SharePoint and Intelink repositories immediately upon creation/modification, or at minimum on a quarterly basis.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with the PMO C/DM, IPTs, ARTs, Systems Team, and Platform Management to capture changes for new and ongoing infrastructure installations, submitting all new packages to the PMO C/DM Drawings team.
Configuration Management & Asset Tracking
  • Physical Inventory: Maintain a rigorous, updated physical inventory of all Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS) and associated site assets.
  • SWAP Monitoring: Monitor, track, and document Space, Weight, and Power (SWAP) metrics for functional area systems to facilitate accurate planning for future infrastructure expansion.
  • Configuration Auditing: Conduct quarterly Physical Configuration Audits (PCA) of system components on DGS-X and AF BLUE, as well as immediate audits following all major upgrades or new installations. Document and upload audit results to Intelink.

Qualifications: Required: • Security Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance.

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a technical field, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent combined work experience.
  • Experience: o Minimum of 5 years of related technical or engineering support work experience. o Minimum of 4 years of experience developing, managing, and publishing technical documentation in an enterprise or defense environment.
  • Technical Skills: Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Visio for creating network, system, and connectivity architecture diagrams.
  • Professional Skills: o Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to documentation accuracy. o Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams (PMs, Engineers, and Military stakeholders). o Demonstrated ability to work independently under minimal supervision as well as actively contribute to a team environment. o Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.

Desired: • Specific, hands-on knowledge of the Air Force Distributed Common Ground System (AF DCGS) life cycle.
