Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a major marine civil engineering project in Portsmouth. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile marine infrastructure scheme, delivering a range of heavy civil engineering works within a busy operational marine environment.<br />The Role<br />As Site Engineer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day engineering activities on site, ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately and in accordance with project specifications, quality standards and programme requirements.<br />Site Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Setting out for marine civil engineering works, including quay, jetty and associated infrastructure.
  • Supporting the delivery of reinforced concrete, marine structures, piling and drainage works.
  • Carrying out quality assurance checks, inspections and maintaining quality documentation.
  • Producing and maintaining accurate site records, as-built surveys and engineering reports.
  • Liaising with the Site Manager, subcontractors, designers and the client to ensure efficient project delivery.
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications and construction programmes.
  • Ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and in line with project requirements.
  • Assisting with temporary works coordination and surveying activities where required.<br />Site Engineer

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working as a Site Engineer on civil engineering or marine infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with marine civils, ports, harbours, quays, jetties, seawalls or coastal defence projects is highly desirable.
  • Competent in the use of Leica, Trimble or similar surveying equipment.
  • Valid CSCS Card (essential).
  • SMSTS or SSSTS (desirable).
  • First Aid qualification (desirable).
  • Full UK driving licence preferred.<br />What's on Offer
  • £300–£350 per day, depending on experience.
  • 12 month contract with the potential for extension.
