We are looking for Duck Creek Policy Developer for our client in Mississauga, ON

Job Title: Duck Creek Policy Developer

Job Location: Mississauga, ON

Job Overview:

Requirement/Must Have:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of software development experience.
  • 2+ years of hands-on Duck Creek development experience.
  • Strong experience with Duck Creek Author.
  • Strong experience with Duck Creek Policy Administration.
  • Strong experience with product configuration and manuscript development.
  • Strong experience with XML and XSLT.
  • Strong experience with C# and .NET Framework/.NET Core.
  • Strong experience with SQL Server and database development.
  • Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and web services.
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Familiarity with source control tools such as Git, Azure DevOps or TFS.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, configure, and implement Duck Creek applications and solutions.
  • Customize Duck Creek components including Duck Creek Policy.
  • Develop and maintain Author manuscripts, product definitions, rating rules, forms, workflows, and integrations.
  • Build and support integrations with third-party systems using APIs, web services, and middleware technologies.
  • Analyze business requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
  • Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.
  • Collaborate with QA teams during testing phases and support defect resolution.
  • Participate in software deployment, release management, and environment support activities.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and development artifacts.
  • Support Agile/Scrum development methodologies and participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

Nice to Have:

  • Duck Creek certifications.
  • Experience with Duck Creek OnDemand Cloud Platform.
  • Knowledge of P&C insurance products such as Auto, Homeowners, Commercial Lines, and Workers Compensation.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
