Data Manager

Location: Edinburgh (Hybrid) - up to three days in the office Salary: Up to £75,000 + Benefits Head Resourcing are partnering with an Edinburgh-founded business to recruit a Data Manager/Azure Fabric specialist to play a pivotal role in the organisation's data transformation journey.

This is an opportunity to bridge the gap between business strategy and modern data platforms, helping to design, build and govern enterprise-wide analytical solutions that support regulatory reporting, risk management, customer insight, operational efficiency and strategic decision-making.

Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you'll help establish data as a strategic asset while delivering scalable, compliant and high-quality data products using the Microsoft technology stack.

Key Responsibilities Engage with business stakeholders to understand and document data and reporting requirements.<br />Translate business needs into analytical data products, automation initiatives and reporting solutions.<br />Design and develop Lakehouse and Data Warehouse solutions using Microsoft Fabric.<br />Build and optimise end-to-end data pipelines and ingestion frameworks.<br />Deliver robust MI, dashboarding and reporting solutions within Power BI.<br />Drive data governance initiatives including data lineage, quality, traceability and metadata management.<br />Develop and maintain data models, business glossaries, process documentation and data dictionaries.<br />Support regulatory reporting, risk analytics, customer insight and operational reporting initiatives.<br />Identify opportunities for automation and improved business decision-making through data.<br />Promote data literacy and champion best practice across the organisation.<br />Collaborate with project, technology and change teams to support successful delivery of strategic initiatives.

Essential Skills &amp; Experience We're interested in speaking with candidates who can demonstrate:

Significant experience designing and delivering modern data platforms and data architecture solutions.<br />Strong experience with the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem.<br />Expertise in:<br />SQL<br />Power BI<br />Azure Data Services<br />Data Warehousing<br />Lakehouse architecture<br />ETL / ELT development Strong understanding of:

Data governance<br />Data quality management<br />Data lineage<br />Metadata management<br />Data security principles<br />Proven ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.<br />Experience gathering requirements and translating these into practical data solutions.<br />Strong documentation and process mapping skills.<br />Experience delivering data-driven solutions in complex business environments.
