Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Desktop Support Technician to provide onsite technical support for end users. The ideal candidate will have experience with desktop imaging, hardware and software troubleshooting, printer support, and basic networking. This role requires excellent problem-solving abilities, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work independently while supporting a fast-paced IT environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite desktop support for laptops, desktops, peripherals, and mobile devices.
  • Install, configure, image, deploy, and maintain Windows-based workstations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and application issues.
  • Configure, install, and support network and local printers.
  • Diagnose and resolve basic network connectivity issues, including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Perform hardware installations, upgrades, replacements, and break/fix repairs.
  • Support user account management, password resets, and Active Directory-related tasks.
  • Document incidents, service requests, and resolutions using the organization''s ticketing system.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate support teams when necessary.
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment and assist with asset management.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while supporting end users both remotely and onsite.
  • Follow established IT policies, procedures, and security standards.
  • Assist with workstation deployments, hardware refresh projects, and office moves as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3–5 years of experience in desktop support, IT support, or help desk environments.
  • Hands-on experience with desktop imaging and operating system deployment.
  • Experience supporting Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of computer hardware, peripherals, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Experience installing and supporting printers and related peripherals.
  • Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and manage multiple support requests.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, SCCM/MECM, or Microsoft Intune.
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Remedy, or Jira Service Management.
  • Experience with asset management and endpoint deployment.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications are a plus.
