IAM Technical Lead

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team.

This is a hands on role focused on designing, developing, and securing modern enterprise applications, APIs, and integration solutions. You will play a key role in building scalable cloud native applications, implementing secure identity and access management capabilities, and delivering enterprise grade integrations across complex technology environments.

The ideal candidate will bring strong full stack development experience, deep expertise in API design and integration patterns, and a proven track record of implementing secure identity solutions using Microsoft Entra ID and modern authentication frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain modern web applications across frontend and backend platforms.
• Build scalable microservices and cloud native applications.
• Develop responsive user interfaces and high-performance backend services.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, business stakeholders, and DevOps teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Design, develop, document, and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Implement API security using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), JWT, and API Gateway technologies.
• Establish API governance, versioning, monitoring, and lifecycle management practices.
• Optimise API performance, reliability, scalability, and security.
• Design and implement enterprise integration solutions across cloud and on premises applications.
• Develop event driven architectures using messaging and integration platforms.
• Support enterprise workflow automation, data synchronisation, and system interoperability.
• Implement and manage Microsoft Entra ID identity and access management solutions.
• Configure authentication, authorisation, Single Sign On (SSO), Conditional Access, and identity federation capabilities.
• Ensure solutions align with security, compliance, governance, and enterprise architecture standards.
• Contribute to technical design reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Need

• Experience in Full Stack Development, Software Engineering, Integration Engineering, or a similar role.
• Strong experience developing modern web applications using contemporary frontend and backend technologies.
• Proven experience designing and implementing RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Strong understanding of API management, governance, documentation, versioning, and lifecycle management.
• Hands on experience implementing API security using:
  • OAuth 2.0
  • OpenID Connect (OIDC)
  • JWT
  • API Gateways
• Experience designing and supporting enterprise integration architectures.
• Knowledge of event driven architectures and messaging technologies.
• Experience with integration platforms and technologies such as:
  • Azure Integration Services
  • Logic Apps
  • Azure Service Bus
  • Kafka
  • RabbitMQ
• Strong experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts and best practices.
• Hands on experience implementing and managing Microsoft Entra ID solutions.
• Experience with:
  • Single Sign On (SSO)
  • Multi Factor Authentication (MFA)
  • Conditional Access
  • Identity Federation
  • Role Based Access Control (RBAC)
• Experience designing and supporting cloud environments across Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, application security, and secure development practices.
• Excellent problem solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with .NET, Java, Node.js, React, Angular, or similar modern development frameworks.
• Experience with Azure API Management or other API gateway technologies.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and secure software delivery pipelines.
• Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerised platforms.
• Experience working with Azure cloud platform services.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust security principles and identity centric security models.
• Experience working within enterprise scale digital transformation programs.
• Relevant certifications across Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, Security, Identity, or Architecture disciplines.
