Senior Data Scientist / Product Analytics Consultant
We are seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Data Scientist / Product Analytics Consultant to join a fast-paced, data-centric organization. This role will partner closely with business stakeholders, product teams, and leadership to drive strategic decision-making through advanced analytics, statistical modeling, experimentation, and causal inference methodologies.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in data science, product analytics, predictive modeling, customer segmentation, and business intelligence. They will leverage large-scale datasets, modern visualization platforms, machine learning techniques, and Generative AI technologies to uncover actionable insights that support business growth, customer value, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct advanced business and product analytics using statistical analysis, predictive modeling, data mining, and machine learning techniques.
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify analytical requirements, define success metrics, and translate business problems into data-driven solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable analytical frameworks, dashboards, and reporting solutions.
- Analyze customer behavior, business performance, and market dynamics to generate actionable recommendations and growth strategies.
- Develop predictive models for customer segmentation, retention, acquisition, risk assessment, and business optimization.
- Design and evaluate experiments, including advanced methodologies beyond traditional A/B testing.
- Apply causal inference techniques to measure business impact and determine the effectiveness of initiatives.
- Build reusable analytics assets, data pipelines, and modeling frameworks to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Create executive-level presentations and visualizations to communicate findings, opportunities, and strategic recommendations.
- Utilize Generative AI and emerging analytical technologies to accelerate insight generation from structured and unstructured data sources.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Business Leadership.
- Produce ad hoc analyses and reporting to support critical business initiatives.
- Mentor junior analysts and data scientists while promoting analytics best practices across teams.
- Stay current with evolving data science methodologies, AI technologies, and industry trends.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Data Science, Product Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related analytical field.
- Strong experience applying statistical modeling and machine learning techniques to solve business problems.
- Proven experience developing data-driven strategies that drive measurable business growth and customer outcomes.
- Experience working with large-scale datasets and delivering actionable insights to business stakeholders.
- Demonstrated success building scalable, reusable analytics solutions and frameworks.
Technical Skills
- Advanced SQL expertise for complex querying, data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Experience with Python analytical and machine learning libraries including:
- Pandas
- NumPy
- Scikit-learn
- Statsmodels
- SciPy
- Experience with business intelligence and visualization platforms such as:
- Tableau
- Amazon QuickSight
- Qlik Sense / QlikView
- Plotly Dash
- Strong statistical analysis and predictive modeling capabilities.
- Experience designing and implementing machine learning models.
- Hands-on experience with causal inference methodologies, including:
- Propensity Score Matching (PSM)
- Difference-in-Differences (DiD)
- Synthetic Control Methods
- Experience with experimentation frameworks and advanced test design.
- Experience leveraging Generative AI and emerging AI technologies for analytics, automation, and insight generation.
- Understanding of structured, semi-structured, and multi-modal data analysis techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in financial services, fintech, digital products, or other data-intensive industries.
- Experience working in high-growth, fast-paced environments.
- Knowledge of customer lifecycle analytics, segmentation, personalization, and behavioral modeling.
- Familiarity with cloud analytics environments and modern data architectures.
- Experience supporting executive-level decision making through advanced analytics.
