Job Description

The Evergreen Center is a world-class private human services organization that provides living and learning environments for individuals with developmental disabilities diagnosed with multiple disabilities including Autism, physical disabilities, neurological problems and behavior disorders. Evergreen Center welcomes all individuals from various backgrounds and experiences through cultural equity, inclusion, and diversity.

The Director of Residential Operations and Scheduling reports to the Chief Operating Officer. The employee is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.

Responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operation of all Evergreen Center Residential Programs including:

  • Review of staffing schedules and staff assignments to maintain residential staff/student ratios
  • Verifies appropriate staff coverage, including staff assignments for all shifts, and appropriate coverage for student medical appointments
  • Participates in administrative on-call responsibilities
  • Review and approval of weekend activities and field trips, not previously approved by the Behavioral Education Team Supervisor or Residential Operation Coordinator
  • Monitors the overnight staff performance evaluation process and the resolution
    of personnel problems
  • Responsible for training of new Weekend/Evening Supervisors, Assistant Weekend/Evening Supervisors, Overnight Supervisors and Assistant Overnight Supervisors.
  • Monitors the effective completion of required residential record-keeping
    and documentation including spot checks, activity schedules, and fire
    drills
  • Supervision of the consistent implementation of health and safety policies/procedures during hours of operational supervision
  • Bachelor’s degree in special education, social work, or related field of study. Substantial experience may be substituted for degree requirements
  • Three years of supervisory experience, and five years of relevant experience with persons who have multiple challenges
  • Communicate effectively with all students, their families, staff, management personnel and public safety officials.
  • Maintain flexible hours: including evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
  • Effectively use computer programs related to job duties.
