Job Description

Role: Meteorologist
Location: USA (Remote)
Mode: Contract
 

Requirements:

  • MS in Meteorology, atmospheric science, or related field or BS with 5+ years of experience
  • Subject matter expertise in operational weather forecasting, atmospheric science principles, and numerical weather prediction (NWP)
  • Experience with forecast verification and model validation, including commonly used statistics 
  • Strong diagnostic and debugging skills, with experience investigating forecast errors in a systemic way
  • Some experience coding in Python and SQL
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills


Additional qualifications:

  • Experience with machine-learning based forecasting techniques.
  • Experience working in a technology company, collaborating directly with software engineering and product teams.
  • Experience in a client-facing or consulting role, providing subject matter expertise to enterprise customers or sales teams.
  • Experience using AI coding tools
