Cloud Systems Engineer with Security Clearance

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Cloud Systems Engineer to support a technology and engineering firm that develops specialized solutions for complex data collection, analysis, and mission-critical communications in highly demanding environments. There are 2 openings available for this role. This position is on-site based in Fairfax, VA. This is a direct placement opportunity supporting internal R&D efforts within a well-established engineering focused environment offering long term stability and growth. Responsibilities for the Cloud Systems Engineer include: * Design, deploy, and maintain secure AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, VPC, storage, and networking). * Build and support scalable cloud platforms for mission-critical applications. * Administer and optimize Linux systems for performance, reliability, and availability. * Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and deploy cloud-native solutions. * Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure, network, and system issues across environments. Required Qualifications for the Cloud Systems Engineer include: * Strong Linux systems administration experience in enterprise or cloud-based environments. * Experience supporting AWS GovCloud or other highly secure cloud environments. * Experience supporting Intelligence Community, DoD, or other federal government programs.
* AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, Cloud Practitioner, etc.). * Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud orchestration technologies. * Familiarity with security frameworks, compliance requirements, and accreditation processes within classified environments. * Active Top Secret Clearance or higher Compensation for the Cloud Systems Engineer Include: * Salary Range : $115,000 - $150,000 **Depending on Experience**
