Job Description

Location: London Salary: £100,000 - £120,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus + Benefits Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time The Opportunity Our client, a well-established M&E contractor, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to support the successful delivery of major data centre and mission-critical projects across London.

This role offers the opportunity to work on some of the most technically challenging projects in the sector, overseeing mechanical installations from pre-construction through to commissioning and handover.

Key Responsibilities Manage mechanical packages on data centre and mission-critical projects from conception to completion.<br />Coordinate mechanical design, procurement and installation activities.<br />Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.<br />Manage subcontractors, suppliers, commissioning engineers and site teams.<br />Oversee the installation of critical cooling and mechanical infrastructure.<br />Monitor project costs, programme performance and resource requirements.<br />Lead progress meetings with clients, consultants and project stakeholders.<br />Manage variations, change control and commercial reporting.<br />Ensure compliance with project specifications, regulations and company procedures.<br />Oversee testing, commissioning and integrated systems testing activities.<br />Identify and manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle.<br />Produce regular progress and financial reports.<br />Ensure successful project handover and client acceptance.

Candidate Requirements Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within an M&amp;E Contractor or Building Services environment.<br />Experience delivering data centre, mission-critical, pharmaceutical or technically complex projects.<br />Strong technical knowledge of:

Chilled Water Systems<br />HVAC Systems<br />CRAH &amp; CRAC Units<br />Ventilation Systems<br />Mechanical Pipework Systems<br />Building Management Systems (BMS)<br />Critical Cooling Infrastructure<br />Experience managing projects valued from £5m+.<br />Strong understanding of commissioning and handover within critical environments.<br />Excellent commercial awareness and contractual understanding.<br />Strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications HNC/HND or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.<br />SMSTS.<br />CSCS Black Card (or equivalent).<br />First Aid (desirable).<br />IOSH or NEBOSH (desirable).
