Senior Network Control Plane & Device Provisioning Engineer

Introduction:

This position is responsible for designing, developing, and integrating command & control plane software for DOCSIS/Fiber systems. The Senior Network Control Plane & Device Provisioning Engineer will work on DHCP provisioning, TFT configuration delivery, device management, and orchestration of firmware upgrades. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure control plane systems meet business requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Design command & control plane software for DOCSIS/Fiber systems
• Integrate control plane services with DOCSIS systems
• Develop APIs and interfaces for control plane systems
• Design and implement workflow orchestration for device activation and management processes
• Troubleshoot and debug control plane software issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams

Requirements:

• Experience: 8+ years of software development experience
• Programming Languages: Proficiency in Java, Python, RUST or C/C++
• DOCSIS Technology: 3+ years of experience with DOCSIS technology
• Network Management Protocols: Deep knowledge of control plane protocols
• IPv6 Knowledge: Strong understanding of IPv6 addressing
• API Development: Strong proficiency in API design and development
• Workflow Development: Experience with workflow orchestration and BPMN
• Software Development: Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies
• Strong Analytical Skills
• CE Management: Experience designing and implementing CPE provisioning systems
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
