Architectural Staff III

Position Title: Architectural Staff III / Designer III

Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000+ DOE

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Architectural Staff III / Designer III to work on meaningful K-12 educational projects throughout California while developing toward future leadership. You'll support Project Architects on large-scale projects, independently manage smaller assignments, and gain valuable client-facing experience in a collaborative environment that emphasizes quality design, mentorship, and long-term career growth. This role is ideal for an architect or designer with strong California K-12 experience who enjoys technical design work, wants to continue growing professionally, and is looking for a long-term home with a stable, highly respected firm.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Architects through all phases of K-12 educational projects
• Produce construction documents and technical drawings using Revit
• Independently manage smaller projects with straightforward scopes
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, and internal project teams
• Participate in client meetings, design discussions, and project progress meetings
• Ensure projects comply with California building codes and educational facility requirements
• Maintain accurate project documentation while meeting established schedules and quality standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture
• 8+ years of architectural experience
• Minimum 3 years of experience working on California K-12 projects
• Strong proficiency in Revit
• Excellent written communication skills
• Experience producing construction documents and coordinating project deliverables
• Portfolio required with application
