Position: Operations Specialist

Location: Remote

Duration: 12 Months

 

Job Summary

We are seeking an Operations Specialist to support day-to-day operational processes within a fast-paced financial services environment. This role focuses on ensuring the accurate setup, validation, and maintenance of security reference data used by various business areas for trading, trade processing, and trade confirmation generation.
The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while communicating effectively with team members and business partners.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and execute daily operational activities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Support the setup and maintenance of security/reference data.
  • Validate security data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Perform data reconciliation across systems and identify discrepancies.
  • Investigate and resolve data issues or escalate them when necessary.
  • Ensure accurate data is available to business areas supporting trading and trade confirmations.
  • Handle multiple tasks and operational requests while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
  • Provide high-quality internal customer service to business partners and other teams.
  • Proactively identify issues and recommend solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and workflows.
  • Follow established operational procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate continuously with team members to ensure adequate coverage across functions.
  • Prepare operational reports and provide updates to management as needed.
  • Stay informed of relevant financial-services practices, processes, and regulations.
Required Qualifications
  • 3–6 years of experience in the financial services industry.
  • High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • Experience with data validation and reconciliation.
  • Basic knowledge of investment securities and financial markets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive approach to identifying and resolving problems.
  • Strong organizational and teamwork skills.
