Job Description

You will take complete ownership of the software architecture for a rapidly growing research and development team backed by a brand new multimillion-pound investment into robotics technologies. This role allows you to shape high-integrity automation from early concepts through to deployment whilst leading the integration of next-generation autonomous capabilities. You will drive technical direction within a fast-expanding environment where your architecture directly enables real-world physical systems to operate safely and effectively.Essential requirements
  • British nationality is required due to security obligations.
  • Experienced Technical Leader
  • Experience with Linux and developing real-time software in C/C++ or Python
  • Strong background implementing in safety-critical software.
Your package
  • Excellent basic salary + a bonus of up to 35%
What you will work on
  • Define and develop end-to-end software architecture for advanced vehicle automation and robotic systems.
  • Establish robust continuous integration and continuous deployment processes for safety-critical software components.
  • Lead architectural design for computer vision, sensor integration, digital twin technology and real-time simulations.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to embed software systems seamlessly into physical hardware products.
Skills and background
  • A degree in software engineering, computer science or an equivalent technical qualification.
  • Essential technical proficiency using Linux alongside real-time software development in C, C++ or Python.
  • Some understanding of electronics with the ability to read electrical schematics is a big plus
  • Prior experience with the ROS, ML algorithms or computer vision tools is highly advantageous.

Location and setup
