W2 Senior Application Security Engineer

Introduction:

This role involves assessing and mitigating AI-specific attack classes, securing the ML pipeline, advising on compliance alignment, establishing AI security policies, and collaborating with various teams to enhance AI security. The position requires a deep understanding of AI/ML technologies and a strong foundation in core security principles.

Responsibilities:

• Threat model AI/ML systems across the lifecycle
• Assess and mitigate AI-specific attack classes
• Secure the ML pipeline and supply chain
• Advise on compliance alignment
• Establish AI security policies and standards
• Partner with detection & response teams
• Help govern sanctioned vs shadow AI use
• Create and monitor controls around AI prompts
• Continuously monitor the AI threat landscape
• Enable customer-facing teams

Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Security, or related field
• Minimum 8 years of experience in security engineering or related technical disciplines
• Deep technical knowledge of AI/ML technologies
• Deep familiarity with AI security frameworks
• Experience securing cloud-based, hybrid, or on-prem solutions
• Strong foundation in core security principles
• Hands-on experience securing AI/ML systems
• Strong programming and scripting proficiency (e.g., Python)
• Experience securing cloud and containerized environments
• Experience embedding security into MLOps and AI/ML pipelines
• Proven ability to communicate complex security risk clearly
• Experience mentoring engineers and serving as a technical expert
• Hands-on offensive security and AI red-teaming experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with AI/ML security tooling
• Experience with agent frameworks and orchestration
• Experience in governance, risk, and compliance frameworks
• Experience in client-facing or consulting roles
• Industry certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, or AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform security
