Overview
We are seeking a Systems Integration Engineer to design, implement, and validate vehicle electrical systems. The role involves developing electrical schematics, supporting system integration, conducting validation testing, troubleshooting electrical systems, and supporting prototype and production build activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop vehicle electrical system schematics.
- Review and support electrical device documentation and approvals.
- Develop vehicle-level logical electrical schematics.
- Define electrical fusing and grounding strategies.
- Conduct design and compatibility reviews for electrical systems.
- Support system-level validation, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
- Perform system-level testing for ECU integration.
- Flash ECU software and calibration files.
- Configure ECUs and analyze self-test results.
- Perform functional testing and validation of electrical systems.
- Develop system FMEA and validation plans.
- Support prototype electrical system development and validation.
- Support prototype vehicle builds and production launch activities.
- Verify module and wiring interface compatibility.
- Perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve electrical system issues.
- Provide technical support during prototype and pre-production builds.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong background in Electrical Engineering with experience designing electrical schematics.
- Experience with Systems Engineering, including defining and developing component interfaces and interactions.
- Experience performing root cause analysis using a structured troubleshooting approach.
- Experience supporting electrical system validation and testing.
- Experience with ECU software flashing and diagnostics.
- Knowledge of CAN network architecture.
- Experience supporting prototype builds and production launch activities.
- Harness design experience is a plus.
- Master's degree is preferred.
