Position Type: 6-9 month CTH
Location: Remote w/ 10-15% travel to Midland, TX
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Scheduler to support a major NGL fractionation and crude acclimation growth project within a live midstream oil and gas operating environment. This role will focus specifically on commissioning, startup, and turnaround scheduling activities following construction completion.
This is a high-visibility project tied to one of the organization’s key growth initiatives, requiring a scheduler who can quickly integrate into a cross-functional team and establish strong working relationships with project leadership, operations, and engineering stakeholders.
Construction execution is being managed by a third-party contractor; this role will be responsible for post-construction commissioning and startup scheduling coordination.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules for commissioning, startup, and turnover activities.
- Coordinate closely with project leadership, operations teams, engineering, and construction contractors to ensure seamless transition from construction to operations.
- Support planning and sequencing of NGL fractionation facility startup activities.
- Perform critical path analysis, schedule forecasting, and risk identification.
- Integrate multiple stakeholder inputs into a cohesive, executable commissioning schedule.
- Track progress against baseline schedules and provide accurate reporting and updates to project management.
- Support turnaround planning and execution activities as needed.
- Conduct frequent site engagement and participate in onsite coordination meetings to ensure schedule alignment.
- Build strong working relationships with key project stakeholders to establish trust and alignment early in the project lifecycle.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 10–15+ years of overall project scheduling experience in oil & gas or industrial environments.
- Minimum 5+ years of direct experience supporting major oil & gas facility projects (midstream strongly preferred).
- Direct experience with NGL fractionation facilities or gas processing plants is required.
- Strong background in commissioning, startup, and/or turnaround (TAR) scheduling.
- Expert-level proficiency in Oracle Primavera (P6 or Primavera Cloud).
- Proven experience working in large, complex capital projects with multiple contractors and stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of plant operations, commissioning workflows, and turnover processes in midstream environments.
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting crude acclimation or NGL fractionation expansion projects.
- EPC project exposure in midstream or refinery environments.
- Background working directly with operations teams during startup or turnaround phases.
- Experience in high-visibility growth or expansion projects within major energy companies.
