Compensation hourly range is $35-$45 per hour, depending on experience and demonstrated ability to source and engage technical and cybersecurity talent.
Candidates must be available to start immediately and commit to 30-40 hours per week for an initial 3-month engagement, with the possibility of extension.
About the Opportunity:
IANS is launching the Vendor Intelligence Database (VID), a new cybersecurity research platform designed to deliver practitioner-driven intelligence and insights on more than 500 cybersecurity products.
To support this initiative, IANS is seeking a Contract Technical Sourcer to identify, engage, assess, and recruit cybersecurity practitioners and subject matter experts with recent hands-on experience evaluating, implementing, administering, or operating cybersecurity technologies.
Term: Full-Time Contract (30-40 hours per week, 3 months with the possibility of extension)
Scope of Work
The Contract Technical Sourcer will build and manage pipelines of qualified cybersecurity practitioners across a range of security disciplines, including:
- Security Operations (SOC)
- Security Architecture
- Cloud Security
- Identity & Access Management (IAM)
- Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)
- Incident Response
- Security Engineering
What You'll Do:
- Source and engage cybersecurity practitioners and subject matter experts across targeted technology categories.
- Conduct qualification and screening conversations to validate recent product experience, technical exposure, and practitioner credibility.
- Manage candidate outreach, follow-up communications, scheduling, and relationship management throughout the process.
- Maintain organized pipelines and provide regular recruiting activity updates, market feedback, and progress reporting.
Deliverables
- Qualified pipelines of cybersecurity practitioners aligned to targeted product categories.
- Completed candidate screenings and recommendation summaries.
- Accurate pipeline tracking and activity reporting.
- Consistent progress updates to recruiting and project stakeholders.
Success Criteria
- Consistent delivery of qualified practitioners with recent, hands-on cybersecurity product experience.
- Strong candidate engagement, responsiveness, and conversion rates.
- Diversity and breadth of expertise represented across cybersecurity markets and product categories.
- Timely communication, reporting, and stakeholder updates.
- Contribution to building a scalable, high-quality network of cybersecurity practitioners supporting the Vendor Intelligence Database initiative.
What You'll Bring:
- 3+ years of recruiting and/or sourcing experience, preferably supporting technical, cybersecurity, IT, engineering, or professional services talent.
- Demonstrated success identifying and engaging passive candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing channels.
- Experience conducting high-volume candidate screens and evaluating qualifications against defined project requirements.
- Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage high-volume searches and priorities in a fast-paced, project-based environment.
- Experience maintaining candidate records, pipeline data, and recruiting activity within an ATS or CRM.
- Ability to quickly learn cybersecurity terminology, technology categories, and security domains.
- A proactive, resourceful approach with the ability to work independently and drive results.
Nice to Have
- Experience recruiting cybersecurity, information security, cloud, infrastructure, or other technology professionals.
- Experience supporting contract recruiting, advisory networks, expert networks, research participant recruiting, or consulting organizations.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity technologies, vendors, security tools, and industry certifications.
